Inconel X-750
Material Data Sheet
Inconel® X-750 (UNS N07750/W. Nr. 2.4669) is a precipitation hardenable nickel-chromium alloy used for its corrosion and oxidation resistance and high strength at temperatures up to 1300°F. Although much of the effect of precipitation hardening is lost with increasing temperature over 1300°F, Inco X-750 is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and oxidation and has high stress-rupture strength and low creep rates under high stresses at temperatures up to 1500°F (816°C) after suitable heat treatment.
Inco X-750 also has excellent properties down to cryogenic temperatures and exhibits excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking. It also demonstrates satisfactory resistance to numerous oxidizing environments, with similar corrosion resistance to Inconel® 600 under many types of media. Due to Inco X-750’s “relaxation” resistance and it’s ability to maintain its toughness over time, it is considered a primary choice for specialized spring applications.
The recommended filler metal for welding is Inconel® 718.
