Stainless Steel 446
Material Data Sheet
446 is a ferritic stainless steel alloy melted as AOD. This alloy is non-hardenable but has excellent corrosion resistance at very higher temperatures and possesses good mechanical properties. This grade has poor ductility due to the high chromium content (roughly 25wt%). Because of the excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures this grade is widely used as furnace parts and boiler baffles.
